Voracity frowned."Hate is such a strong word, but if you really feel that way... I'm sure I'll get over it. I can't say there aren't a lot of people who feel the same way, though for other reasons," he muttered as he rose. Sticking his hands in the pockets of his still-wet jeans he strolled over to the door to see just what the blond man was doing that made the little woman dislike him and call out:"I still don't know your name!"
As he leaned on the door frame to watch, he untied the messy bow the ribbon holding his hair back was in and carefully re-wound it the way he preferred. He sighed. It was still a little unkempt. He'd need a comb and mirror to properly fix it, but for now the ribbon being right was well enough. He glanced back at Ethel when he was finished and sent her a debonaire grin."He doesn't get 'yes' very often, does he?"

"It would be more appropriate to switch 'often' with 'never', sir," she said, kneeling next to the cabinet and sorting out the pile of strange lightbulbs and glass.
Outside, Liliya was making slow progress across the surface lake. Her prototype water-walking spell was still in its development stages and thus was not exactly the most reliable. Still, it was better than being fully submerged in chilly water. She hastened to find more 'footholds' before she sank completely.
Up ahead, Vesper was turning circles in the water, swinging around a young man with dark hair and fully dressed but void of expression. He looked up at Voracity at the Dwelling's door.
"My name's Vesper! I don't mind if you call me other things though if you don't like that name," he shouted happily and in quick succession, then turned to the young man Luce in the water with him."You see that guy there? The one with the deliciously long dark hair? He said yes to me. Can you believe it?" He spun around on the spot in glee.
Liliya was mere metres away.
"Hands out of the water in the air where I can see them!" she ordered. Feeling ecstatic, he felt compelled to obey without protest. Luce mimicked his actions as well.
"Look, I haven't touched Luce. It's all right really," Vesper assured her, flashing Luce a bright grin."Besides, with a catch like that, there's no one who would be unfaithful."

Suddenly a great red light flashed in the sky, and what appeared to be a great burning hunk of metal crashed nearby the clearing. The earth surrounding the area shook violently, and the water trembled.
The large curled ball of metal lay in a large crater, still slightly immersed in a red/black flame. The grass around the edge of the crater lay crisped to cinders, and a single tree standing nearby had been lit up in the dark flame, but was not burning down.

Flailing her arms about her, Liliya fought to stay balanced after the tremor. She turned towards the site of the crash, frowning deeply.
"This is so not my day," she murmured, reaching down and placing two fingers on Luce's wet forehead. He looked up at her blankly. A silver glow enveloped them momentarily before she withdrew. Luce looked down, subtly upset.
"Now, get out. No more water for today, alright?" the weaver chided gently although the boy did not understand her. Still, he made for the shore in slow, deliberate movements.
"No need to scold the dear, Lil, you know how he is with water," Vesper reprimanded, searching the lake for his missing towel. He gave up after a twenty-second search.
"Hey! You're not leaving this lake until you put something on, I don't care if you freeze to death, that's your problem," Liliya screeched when he started for the shore as well. She snapped her head towards the house where her guest and servant were standing."Ethel! Watch this idiot carefully!"
With that she did her best to run towards the scene of the collision with as much grace as she could.
Up on the stairs, Ethel looked towards the dark flames and issuing smoke, shook her head, and remarked:
"And I just remodelled too."

Varsh gripped his hammer and lifted himself up, his armour still smoking from the impact and the flames. His skull floated in it's flames, standing emotionless, yet the encasing green flames, seemed to be calm, but with a great powerful build like his, you never really knew.
He threw his hammer over his shoulder and began to wander towards the lake. He could sense the 'others'. He had to find them. He did not know why, but he knew all might be revealed if he did.
He stopped, and looked at the small homunculus before him. No sound echoed from his lips, but a voice echoed through the small one's mind.
You are in my way little one. Move.
