Please not that a character, with the exception of a Sin does not need to match a profile exactly. Take some liberties and bend some rules! If something is specified (IE: ____ is not possible, ____ never happens, _____ is nonnegotiable) you may not 'bend' it. Those are there for a reason!
Aerites- Bird people. The Aerites reside mainly in Aers city, and vary in degrees of bird-likeness and human-likeness. The ones more resembling humans may not be able to fly, but have arms and hands, while their sibling may have a birdlike body and only a humanoid head. One will not have both wings and arms(This is nonnegotiable). A varied species, they range from eagles and other birds of prey to small songbirds.
Zerans- The small frog people that live in the Zeran Swamps. Generally poisonous, they are only about three feet high(at most) and almost completely frog like. Able to stand upright and use their forehands, they are characterized by tightly wound caps somehow fastened to their heads.
Merans- Vaguely humanoid, the Merans are Fish. Living in Glahh, they are unfriendly to any type of land going creature. Merans are only fish, never seagoing mammals such as dolphins or whales.
Merpeople– The top halves of Merpeople are human looking, while the bottom half is taken up by a seagoing mammal’s tale. They can not breath underwater, but must surface to breath like mammals. Merpeople live in migrating pods, varying in size and location according to what kind of Merpeople they are. Orca-Merpeople, for example would live in the colder waters to the north, while Spotted Dolphin-Merpeople would live in the warmer waters to the south. Both Merpeople and Merans are hunted for their meat.
Humans- Look at yourself. Yeah. We know how this one works.
Half Elves- The offspring of Humans and Elves; they live longer than humans and less than full elves. A Half Elf may have many characteristics of either parent.
Elves- Shorter than humans, though not by a lot. Elves are characterized by their slim figures, pointed ears and longer lifespan. Elves easily may live to be three hundred years old. The deadliest of insults to an elf is to be called a Fairy.
Drow– In Elvan History the Drow are said to have split off from the main species many millennia ago. According to the Drow, the Elves are the sickly descendants of an old, exiled house. The Drow have much of the same face and body structure of the Elves, but their skin can range from smoky grey to ebony.
Dwarves- Four feet high at most and characterized by their stocky build and beards; they have no love of Elves. Dwarves live to about two hundred years old.
Fey- Ranging from gossamer-winged pixies the size of a Barbie, to knee high Hob-Goblins and full sized Dryads. The Fey are a fickle people, who come in many shapes and sizes and offend easily. Look at Fey: Specified for more information.
Demons- Generally shape shifters, can look like anything. they are usually but not limited to Hell spawn or the children of Chaos. Demons who have acquired worshipers, or are an underling to a Demon who has are weak against anything blessed or holy. Some Demons are free of such organization, and holy objects do not affect them to the same extent.
Angels- Angels are exactly like Demons, just on the other side. Far from beings of unlimited power, Angels have many limitations, like weaknesses to things to strongly demonic or cursed objects. Angels tend to graft their appearances to be feathery and fair. Look at Demon Specifics for more information.
Vampire- Do they sparkle? Hell no. Aerian Vampires are albino creatures of the darkness that feed on the blood of other sentient races. They tend to avoid rosewood, roan wood, ash wood and holy water.
Were Creatures- Wolves, Bears, Big Cats, even Rats. Were creatures are afflicted with a contagious blood disease turning them into their alternate form when they are extremely angry or there is a full moon. The Disease only affects races that do not already have an animal aspect(IE: Elves, Humans, Dwarves and certain Fey). If one is bitten by a Were Wolf, likewise they will be a Were Wolf.
Half Dragons- Usually the other half is Elf or Human. Half Dragons are very resistant to magic and can shift from dragon shape to human/elf shape or anywhere in between without much practice. Even in Dragon form, half dragons are nowhere near as powerful as full dragons and always take after their humanoid parent.
Gnomes- Gnomes are small ground dwelling people, who live apart from the Dwarves and other races. They are characterized by their large head and eyes, with a disproportionately small body to go along with it. Gnomes are the most technologically advanced peoples in Aers. The Underground city(ies)which they live in are places where science and magic work side by side in aiding these little people in their everyday lives.
Halflings- Halflings (or Hobbits, whichever they prefer), are as their name suggests, half sized people. They have large, tough feet and with little exception dark eyes. They usually live in small rural villages in houses built into hills or sod houses. On average a few inches taller than the Dwarves, the two do not get along easily.
