The Throne of Nessus. A great black fortress where the great demon king of the 9 Hells, Asmodeous, rested and watched over his dominion. Guarded by demons and devils and beasts of all shape, size, and nature; It was practically impenitrable. And deep within the halls of the fortress laid the throne room, where the king gave his orders to his minions, and kept them in line.
But in that throne room, It was not Asmodeous who lay on the throne. Instead there lay another great demon. He sat, dressed in royal clothing, a combination of blacks and reds, with a long nightmare black cape flowing behind him.
No, it was not Asmodeous who lay on the throne of the 9 hells, but Mephistopheles, the old king's 2nd in command, and, after a powerfull usurption, was now the king, himself.

Glassya took after her mother. Her bronze skin glinted in the slightest light, and her wings hovered fleetingly over her chest before they proudly crowned her head and shoulders. Her legs were long, made to look shorter by her whip-like tail that slashed the air behind the demoness as she walked towards the throne. As she neared, she spoke to the new king.
"Mephisto... He's not dead, you know."
She smiled, showing pointed teeth as she ran her fingernails up the Demon King's leg.
"He'll be trouble." she whispered,"he's always trouble. We need to kill him, not just banish him."
Moving Mephistopheles' hand from the throne's arm rest, she sat herself down with his hand in her lap. Caressing it, she continued,
"If there's anything he taught me, it's that a king who lasts in Hell, is never soft on his enemies. And my father is indeed your enemy, love."

Mephisto took Glassya's hand in his own, and brought it up to his lips, droping a kiss on her fingers.
His eyes glistened against the flames around the throne room, the deep fire red shining in the light.
"My dear, I know he's alive. I did not intend to have otherwise at the moment"
He gave her a smile; a dark, evil, demonic smile."I was once the lord of the 8th, and a subordinate to the 9th. Now I rule both. With a combined power of the two most powerfull levels of hell, Asmodeous would be a fool to challenge me for the throne.Hell anyone would be a fool to try for my newly aquired might."
He stood up, a hand resting on Glassya's cheek, his cape floating behind him."Every king of hell has challenged the one before him, and by some means taken that postition from his prior. Be it deciet, bribary, or even betrayal. But they all had the same result. The king before them would have them put to death" The flames in the room seemed to intensify as he spoke, and the aura about him became darker, and, if even possible, more evil."I let him live my dear. I forced Asmodeous out of his kingdom"
His hand then clutched Glassya by the jaw, and lifted her in the air before him."I let your father live, so that he might suffer. Suffer, knowing that the one before him betrayed him, and would rule over all he had ruled. Suffer, knowing that the power he had, was now in the hands of another"
He revealed his own sharp teeth in a smile "Oh no, Glassya. I would not kill him. He will suffer. Suffer as he made my brothers, and my children suffer. Hell is mine. And will remain mine. For a good, long, time. And there is NOTHING that my enemies can do."
And with that, he released his grip on her, dropping her to the ground before him.

She landed catlike on her feet. If her lord had scared her, she showed no signs of it. Her hands didn't even stray to her neck as she spat,
"Then you are a fool, Mephistopheles. How do you think he became the ruler of all of Hell from his complete obscurity? He did not rise through the ranks of our armies; he was not born into an influential family; he was unknown to the politics of Hell before his crusade against Lucifer. Had he let Lucifer live, or any of Lucifer's supporters, he would have been overthrown when his power was weakest. You can take a throne easily, but to hold the Kingdom is another matter. Do you think the other Lords and Ladies do not wait to see him return with some power you have no knowledge of? With that whore I drove off before and more? She certainly has nothing more to lose by joining him. You do not have much more in the way of surprise, and you have given him everything in letting him live."
She bared her teeth furiously; her tail slashed gashes in the black marble floor. She gouged a circle in the floor as she walked around the throne to Mephistopheles' other side.
"You entered his movement after it had already begun... you know nothing of before. Disregarding me is not wise,my King. I will take my leave and let you mull over these words."
Removing her tail from the marble, she made for the door.

Just as Glassya had turned herself towards the door, a figure had stepped through it. He stood about a foot lower than Mephistopheles, had short white horns, and was dripping wet from head to toe, leaving steam marks on the ground wherever he stepped.
He wore a an elegant, albeit soaked, black suit, no shoes, and a black dress shirt, unbuttoned and open, revealing a pale muscular set of abdominal muscles. His white tie lay undone around his collar. His black hair lay matted to his head, but his night black eyes shone out from behind the strands covering his visage, and a sharp toothy smirk swung on his jaw.
Mephistopheles walked next to Glassya, an equally large diabolical smile on his face, and placed a hand on her shoulder."Welcome, my friend", He spook to the guest,"It has been far too long".
The creature responded in kind, his voice leaving a chilling feeling when he spoke."I thank you my lord. It is good to see the king of the 8th and 9th is in very good health".
Mephistopheles lowered his mouth to his subordinate's ear and whispered evilly,"You spoke as though I had no surprises left for the old king, I do believe this was one surprise that will be great. You may even recognize my dear brother-in-arms". He laughed to himself and stood himself upright, keeping a hand on Glassya's shoulder, raising the other in the air for dramatic effect.
"Welcome to the 9th Circle of Hell,Levistus, Lord of the 5th"

Glassya let out a long, bitter laugh.
"Dear Heart, if you fail to surprise me, how do you expect to surprise your former King? this is only proof of my words on mercy to your enemies. And such a choice! He betrayed my father at the first chance he was offered, and now you, still a babe in your throne, free him from his prison. This treacherous leech will turn around in the end, you can be sure, to suck the blood out of it's master's veins."
The she-demon turned to face Mephistopheles, and bowed deeply.
"But theses are the choices you make, my Lord," she said with her head still down,"and the benefits yours to reap."
With that she stood up, and left.

Mephistopheles shot a truly unpleasant glare at the back of Glassya's head as she turned away from him. The insolent daughter of the former king was beginning to tire on him, and he hoped that the day of her usefulness would draw to an ever closer ending.
Levistus turned his head over his shoulder as Glassya stepped past him, and he stopped her with a hand, a large smirk on his face. He whispered to her in a icy cold tone,"Glad to see your tongue is as sharp as ever. It's been far too long since I've heard your ringing voice" and he patted her shoulder, turning his face back to Mephistopheles, who was wandering back to his throne.
A dark evil smile crept over his lips, and just as he was about to let Glassya continue on her way he added,"I do hope you and the great king didn't mourn her for long. I'd just guessed that he'd have forgotten her like every other useless tool to him that gets killed".

Wordlessly, The Demoness' tail wound it's way around Levistus' throat. Clenching tight, she slowly lifted him off the ground, swung him once and threw him violently at his master's feet. He landed with a clatter on the floor. Glassya, sill silent, walked out of the room.

Levistus showed no signs of resistance as he was lifted, ever holding an icy dark smirk on his face. "I see the daughter has her father's temper." He whispered before being thrown to the floor.
He lifted himself up slowly, fixing his outfit from the dust of the throne room's floor. "The girl harbors resentment for your new position, your highness." He said to Mephistopheles,"She may turn against you, like you did to the last king".
Mephistopheles strode over to his throne and took a seat."Levistus, you worry about her too much. The child of Asmodeus will be of no threat to me. I anticipate her betrayal with each passing day, for when it does come, and I know it will, I will not be surprised in the least, Unlike that fool of a past king"
He rose, playfully twirling some conjured flames around his arm."Levistus, with the combined strength of the ninth, the eighth, and the fifth, Nothing shall stand in my way. And know this, if anyone attempts to betray me, be it a soldier, an officer, Glassya, or even you Levistus..." and with that he shot a glare at his associate,"My hellfire shall reign swiftly upon them, with much rage, and vengeance"
And with that, he turned to the door to his chambers and left the throne room, leaving Levistus alone.

"I would not depart so hurriedly, Mephitso." hissed a voice from the far end of the room."You forget the loyalties that run in your she-demon's family."
Another voice snickered as it hissed. It was joined by many others.
"In more than one sense you forget them." hissed another voice.
Finally the Dragon fully entered the room. Tiamat's first head stood above the other coloured heads with a glittering chromium crown of bone. The smaller ones chattered and snickered at the king.
"It is not often that I follow my children this far into Baator, but I dear say old agreements no longer hold with a new king. Still, I wish to be polite. I wish to inform you that the old agreements have been nulled by Asmodeus's departure. The Contract Lucifer made with me, so long ago, stated that the dragons were to reign free of our land again, when a new King failed to devour the one before him. Such a short lived contract! Only two Kings down the line and it is broken!"
The smaller heads cackled in Glee.
"You have unwittingly done us a great favour, Kingling. The Old Race is taking back their homeland, and if you think your hellfire is something the Dragons have not mastered eons ago, you are terribly, terribly mistaken."
All of the Dragon's heads grinned together before the form vanished.
"Thank you for your audience, Kingling. Perhaps you will listen to the advice of others now." they snickered as one last whisp of air.
