"Run it across the bands." Raven said, still stuffing her artifacts into her bag."Try not to nick your skin."
Ben sat on the ground forgotten. He crossed his eyes, unsuccessfully trying to fix his gaze on the hook screwed into the top of his head. Bouncing a way, he caught the leash between his teeth and pulled. A fantastic but unseen flip sent him careening into a wall. He let go of the leash with his teeth, to find it tangled in a snare in the wall. Left hanging, he bounced back at the wall, possibly hoping to dislodge both himself and the leash. Hanging inches from the ground, the shrunken head squawked.

Malgaras eyed the claw suspiciously, and shot an equally suspicious one at Raven. Trust had been one of his greatest issues for the longest time, considering half of his gentic make was elven, a rare elven to boot, and now he had been placed directly into a situation whered he'd be forced to trust two complete strangers, and their weird....thing...of a pet.
The only calming out of the situation he got was that one of them was a half dragon, like himself, and seemed to be relatively innocent. The other one was a completly different manner. She had a great aura of mystery about her, and he had a tough time thinking she even intended to help him.
But in the situation he was in, and the alchemic bands preventing him from using his full potential, he decided that a little trust might not hurt his chances of survival.
He removed his his vest, revealing his dark muscular tatoo'd torso. He took a deep breath, shot another look at the two of them, and dragged the fingers of the claws across each of the bands.

The Claw smoked and blackened as it ran across the first two bands, then disintegrated before it touched the third. The top band bled an oily grey, that melted onto the second, staining it. The second simply fell to the ground in ugly (and oily) flakes. The third stood mockingly untouched by the aftermath of it's companions' deaths.
"Hm." said Raven,"I guess if I hadn't used it as a marker that one time it would have cut all three of them. Oh well! Two out of three isn't so bad! Now did you get your skin? Because it would be bad if you did. I only have one bit of green chalk left, and I think using it for something that's not fixing you would be nice. And I'm not very good at it, anyway."
She plucked Ban's leash from the wall, and hoisted the shrunken head into her arms. Petting his hair around the screw she said "Well, I think the exit is to the left."

Malgaras gave a sigh of dissapointment and let the dusty remanents of the claw fall from his hand to the ground, into the flakes of the bands below. He shot a very annoyed glare at the final band, but dropped his head again, hoping that all that might have been needed was a little intimidation.
"I'm fine, for the most part, and I don't blame any of your previous actions. I got more help than i'd hoped to find here"
He returned his vest over his torso, and walked over to the females. "Well, I hope so. The faster we can get out of here, the faster I can find another way to get rid of this last god forsaken band"

"Left' said Raven, holding her hands out in front of her. With an 'ah' she picked the hand in the shape of an L. Not checking to see if anyone was following, she gathered up her bag and walked into the passage on her left. Seconds later, she came upon her companions, from the right.
"Oh dear," said the Demon."This could be quite perplexing."
She reached to her neck and unhooked the scythe pendant from it. Humming, Raven pulled both ends of the little piece of jewelery. It expanded in her hands. Once started, it expanded by itself until it stood almost above Raven's head.
"Lets fix this" she sang.
She took her weapon, and slashed it across the open passage to the party's left. The air hung like tattered paper for a second, before shimmering into nothing; a new pathway revealed itself where the old one had stood. Instead of the straight wide path of the maze behind them, this wound in and out, twisting and turning from wide to thin and back again.
"Hm. The Maze Proper." Raven said before stepping into it.

Malgaras watched as the Demon performed her trick, creating the passageway that should be taken. He stood slightly bewildered and amazed at her power. Illusion magic destruction was no easy trick, but for this Demon, it seemed as easy as, dare he say it, cutting paper. "This one...," he thought,"May have use. An association may be order"
He stretched his arms and flexed his chest, and felt a slight give in the remaining band on his torso. "Hmmmmm", he pondered to himself,"Patience may also be in order".
Malgaras gave himself a slight smirk, and flicking out and twirling one of the blades he kept on his leg, he followed after Raven down the newly opened pathway.

She hummed as she stepped into the real maze. The clouded crystal walls gave way to shining mirrors; ruins glittered and ran along the walls. Twisting off to the right, a passage tilted slowly upward, while to the left, two other paths split off on differently skewed angles. Raven's scythe, which had not been returned to it's pendant size, swerved it's long blade towards the right, jerking the woman with it. Anethama stood itself well above Raven's head, easily cresting seven feet, but still not quite meeting the wall's halfway point.
Ben bounced along the glittering floor like a jittery dog, sniffing this and that odd tile as he went. When Raven turned to the right, along with her scythe, he followed even more reluctantly. The slop was gentle, but the little head bounced furiously to keep up.
"Hmmmm..." Raven mused after a long silence, and an even longer slope.
"I do believe the sky is that way.", she said, pointing towards the party's feet.
The crystal beneath them shone a pale, morning blue.

Malgaras continually stared at Raven as he followed, unable to tell weither she was playing stupid, slightly naieve, or plain old crazy.
He had drawn one of his daggers, and began to try and cut at the final band around his chest. Although the remanents of the claw had not succesfull cut it off, it had still weakend the defensive runes on it. Before if he'd tried it with any blade, and he had, the blade would have begun to melt upon contact. Now he had actually managed to scratch the band with his blade, and he wasn't about to let up.
"Care to explain that little theory?" He asked, with a slight hint of disbelief, and he pointed up."Normally, the sky is that way."

"well yes," started the Demoness,"but right now the sky is that way."
She pointed to her feet.
"If you look that way, I'm certain you will see not the sky."
Any eyes that followed Raven's fingers as they pointed up past her head would indeed not have seen they sky. Roiling mists broke to reveal black emptiness, covered again, and departed with an overhead scene of tiny trees dotting a hillside, an ocean swarming with jumping fish, or cliffs stopping suddenly and giving way to low lying clouds.
"At least it's creative." she said, before walking on.
